Focusing on what you CAN control
Your player is not a great shooter, but they can get to the basket.
Their teammates don't pass them the ball very often, and their coach doesn't give them any room for mistakes.
When they do drive, they have only 1 option to score at the rim.
Under pressure, and at game speed they are likely to get the ball deflected, get blocked, or just miss open shots because of poor body/ ball control and a lack of options.
So they start to always pass to someone else instead of trying to score - even on easy, open opportunities!
Sound familiar?
Or, maybe they throw their body at the defense in frustration, throw up wild shots, and throw up their hands when they don't get the foul call they wanted.
The bottom line is:
They have no control over playing time.
They have no control over how often they touch the ball.
They have no control over foul calls.
They have no control over their footwork, their options at the rim, their grip on the ball, or their dynamic balance in the air - 4 things they CAN control, but haven't learned yet.
They feel helpless, and have begun to doubt their ability to score.
Your player has no control.
Good news!
There is a solution designed with your player in mind!
Introducing The Layup Maker - Finish with any hand, any foot, any time!
We help your player develop Jedi Master-level control over finishing
Other programs shame your player for not finishing the "easy 2's", while providing them only one option to practice.
We help your player develop Jedi Master-level control over finishing technique and decisions, so they can feel confident using any hand, any foot, any time they need to score!
If your player needs more control in their life, sign up now for our Layup Maker 2.0 by April 9th
See you on the court,

P.S. In my next post I will explain how I discovered the 3 simple combinations that allow players to create exponential options at the rim!
