We help your 7th-grade basketball player perform at a high school level BEFORE their freshman tryouts - and have done it at a 94.6% success rate.
We DO work with players (and parents and coaches) before 7th grade to set them on track so they don't need our help later.
We also continue working with players through high school and college as long as they start working with us before the end of their freshman year.
The reason for the 7th-9th grade focus is the "leverage impact zone." Before 7th grade, most players needed more experience to have context for using our best ideas, skills, and concepts.
After 10th grade, if they feel they've "made it" by being on the JV team, they are unwilling to go through the learning process necessary for improvement—their success has become the obstacle to future growth.

We help parents and players enjoy basketball together without distraction.
If you go to a community center or shoot hoops in the driveway, you are subject to crowds, cancellations, weather, and chasing rebounds down the hill!
We help parents and players enjoy basketball together without distraction so they can focus on strengthening their bond around the sport they love!
The Seacoast Hoops Lab is a literal laboratory where kids come to experiment with basketball, make mistakes, learn, grow, and thrive. With adjustable hoops and a flexible use space, the gym is versatile enough to provide value to a broad audience across the community.
Started in January 2021 by Corey Hassan, who had the vision for a small warehouse to become our beloved home gym - " The Lab" has evolved to be a go-to location for youth basketball development in Portsmouth and the wider Seacoast community of NH.
Purchased by BJ Mumford and Play Practice Basketball in January 2022, the tiny gym's reputation now pulls over 300 players per month from as far away as Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Canada!
